caged-marie

This pic I finished today as my first bit of participation on conceptart.org (finally!). The subject for the 'character of the week' challenge was Marie Antoinette. I decided to show a contemplative and slightly pensive side to Marie,
I see her as a bit of a caged bird... albeit with a beautiful cage!
I was delighted to see the theme for Illustration Friday this week was 'caged', because I am suffering from both a cold and some extreme laziness.
