Pet peeves
I hates bad grammar. Something inside me snaps in a way that makes me despair a just a little.
I shouldn't care about it I suppose...But it just drives me mental! When did "couldn't care less" become "could care less"?? It doesn't even make sense!Ah, anyway this was quite a cathartic process.Props to Cheney!

I agree. I think that you will find that is our text message generation that is going to change our language to having more shortcuts that fit no rules. Love your illustration.
I know what you are talking about, I hate misspelling.... (did I spell it right?)... jejeje...

flying away now!
Hah! You're example is pretty heavy on the "not actually saying what they think they are" variety of people, but recently I've been noticing that almost everyone is guilty of missing or misplaced commas. Which leads me to assume that other rules are being broken as well.
I do, of course, see the distinction between the two mistakes - at least the ones I'm talking about don't contradict your intended meaning.
From Spiderman 2, I will always remember: "Don't worry mister. We won't tell nobody."
I agree with you all, I don't think they're being taught the same as we were many moons ago! You see even I do it:)
